Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to make the notifications public of his own and all of his advisers, following the controversy surrounding the appointment of Dr Farrukh Saleem as the spokesperson on economy. PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb took to the Twitter on Friday and demanded that the Prime Minister should make public his notification as premier and the appointment of his advisers.

"The people of Pakistan want to know whether or not a formal notification of the prime minister was issued because he always forgets to know that he is the premier of the country and his wife reminds him of being the prime minister," she said, adding, "It is also important because the government, like its 'fake' mandate, is also issuing fake notifications."

She maintained that Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry through a tweet stated that Farrukh Saleem would be the government's spokesperson on economic affairs, but later deleted his tweet and claimed that Saleem was never been notified as the government spokesperson when he (Saleem) criticised the government's economic policies.

"Therefore, it is important that the government should make public the notifications of prime minister, his cabinet members, and all announced and unannounced advisers and special assistants so that nobody makes an excuse that they were never notified formally," she added.

Referring to Saleem's interview with private media, the PML-N spokesperson said that he had stated in categorical terms and he used to attend the cabinet meetings regularly until his criticism on the economic policies.

She said that an investigation should also be conducted and action be taken against those attending cabinet meetings without holding any portfolios or through 'fake' notifications. "Action should also be taken against the Prime Minister as to why he is allowing people to attend the cabinet meetings without having any portfolio," she added.
